EXPERIMENTAL TECHNICIAN EMPIRICS (f/m/x)

The family-owned company Blum manufactures flap, hinge, pull-out, and pocket systems that are installed in furniture all over the world. Did you know that our team of empiricists makes the various product functions tangible by creating diverse functional prototypes and participating in technology development? Through further analyses and documentation of results, we enable theory-practice comparisons and a comprehensive system understanding – from individual parts to the finished product.

YOU

  • participate in various technology and product projects, making theories tangible and thus enabling well-founded solutions
  • create a wide variety of functional models and prototypes, using conventional machining equipment among other tools
  • develop and set up experimental setups and test the function and durability of materials, components, and products
  • plan and monitor testing processes, conduct systematic functional analyses, document, and present the results

WE

  • value good education: You have successfully completed a technical education (higher technical institute, vocational school, or apprenticeship, for example, in toolmaking technology or mechanical engineering) and ideally bring relevant professional experience
  • will support you during the onboarding phase and are happy to help you quickly and effectively grow into your role
  • embrace innovation – with your manual skills and enthusiasm for improvisation, you can quickly adapt to new technical and technological challenges
  • are looking for a motivated team member who enjoys tinkering as much as methodical and analytical work

WORK ORANGE

  • Time for your good start: A mentor will accompany you during your onboarding. Tools that are new to you will be learned in individual training sessions
  • Value valuable knowledge growth: Collaboration with excellent professionals on a daily basis. This exciting and competent environment makes work enjoyable, and you gain a lot of valuable knowledge - we also gladly support you if you wish to pursue further education alongside your work
  • Appreciative corporate culture: We foster a strong sense of community and a very flat hierarchy. We use first names throughout the company, including with the owners. You enjoy a high level of trust from your superiors from your very first day. They expect you to work independently but are there to support you
  • High quality of life: We aim for people to enjoy their work over the long term, which requires a good balance. Your projects will be challenging but not overwhelming
  • Individual freedom: We offer helpful and clear guidelines while also providing an individually tailored scope for action and decision-making. Often, the "WHAT" is outlined and the "HOW" is something you determine together with those involved
  • Flexible working methods: We value a combination of freedom and personal responsibility. Home office is also an option with us
